Red Robot Hackathon

Red Robot Hackathon

The Red Robot Hackathon is a beginner robotics hackathon where teams compete to build a robot to complete a "game" in 48 hours. Teams then play against each other in alliances of 2 until just two teams remain.

My team ranked 1st and won the event undefeated with a 6-0 record.

Here are some video demos

The Challenge

Diagram of the competition field
  • This year's challenge was themed around an arcade gumball machine
  • Robots had to press a button on the Gumball Machine to dispense gumballs
  • They then had to pick up the gumballs and score them into a goal with three different heights

  • The tournament ranked teams with 3 qualifier matches with average score acting as the tiebreaker
  • Teams then chose alliances and fought through a playoff bracket
